"The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place."

You'd think with the internet, communication would have gotten better, grown, and evolved.

It's only made things worse.

People put ZERO time into EFFECTIVE communication.

With what I do, communication is of the utmost importance - from the person BUYING MY SERVICES. The BUYER.

Below is a real life conversation I had today with a client:

ree

Did you notice he sent two spellings of HIS OWN NAME?

Well, I did.

ree

So as you can see by the time, over 12 hours have passed. I'm on a time deadline, and he's not even bothering to message me.

ree

Can you count how many times I've asked for him to tell me how to pronounce it?

ree

Here, he sent me the "Dee jay kuh-SEE-mi-roh" text, so I went in the booth and recorded me saying it to be sure. THREE MINUTES later he sent me another one, only this time it was "Ka-see-MeH-ro". Oh and then he sent me "dee - jay - caz - ih - MEER - oh".

Press play and hear how I pronounced the name.

As you'll hear in the audio above, I pronounced the name the same way in every iteration.

Below, he says, "LAST ONE".

I say "They were all the same."

ree

It's a REAL DRAG when this much time and effort goes into ONE NAME. It happens SO OFTEN. I had about 5 orders today where the communication was so bad, I turned the computer off and took an Ambien and went to sleep.

I couldn't take it any more.

The last thing I have time for is wasting so much time on back and forth with someone who doesn't have a basic command of how to communicate THEIR OWN NAME!!

I know it may come across like an asshole, but I don't apologize for that.

Go back up there and look at the 3 different versions of the pronunciation. Just go back up there and look.

Look at it.

Look at it.

JUST LOOK AT IT!

LOOK AT IT!
